I searched and searched for the perfect biscuit recipe&#8230;and just what is the perfect biscuit? This is a highly personal thing to be sure so I can only speak for myself. I like my biscuits with a tender crumb, light as air and buttery with a slight tang from buttermilk or sour cream. The best recipe hands down is <a href=\"http:\/\/topchefs.chef2chef.net\/recipes\/agingrass\/data\/breads-nicole-chive-biscuits.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">Nicole Plue&#8217;s &#8211;\u00a0 Chive Biscuits<\/a>. I usually leave out the chives and I sub some of the cream with buttermilk&#8230;ok, and sometimes I cut the butter down by an ounce (got to watch that waistline.)\u00a0 And&#8230;instead of cutting out cute little circles of dough I just form the dough into a giant rectangle and cut into 12 squares&#8230;quick and no waste \ud83d\ude42 Hot out of the oven with a big heaping spoonful of jam&#8230;any kind of jam will do but I do dream of Apple Farm&#8217;s Apricot Jam.
